L-Tyrosine

Description

L-Tyrosine plays an important role in the central nervous system, the thyroid, and the adrenal glands.

It is an amino acid precursor for the synthesis of the brain-friendly neurotransmitters norepinephrine and dopamine.

1. Improves the rate of neurotransmitter production and stimulating the central nervous system, it helps relieve the physical symptoms of stress, such as mood swings.
2. Chronically stressed individuals might not efficiently convert phenylalanine to tyrosine, which makes supplementation desirable.
3. Serves as a precursor for the thyroid hormone thyroxine and for melanin, the pigment that protects against harmful ultraviolet rays.
4. Stimulates growth hormone, is involved in adrenal and pituitary function, and is a powerful antioxidant, neutralizing free radicals and inhibiting fat oxidation.
