Cod Liver Oil Forte

Cod Liver Oil Forte is a source of omega-3 fatty acids and naturally contains high levels of vitamins A and D to help support healthy eyes, bones, and brain. Vitamin A is needed for the production of rhodopsin, a pigment found in rod cells that aids in low-light vision. Omega-3 fatty acids are necessary for the proper development of retinal structure and visual acuity in infants as rods and cones in the eye require DHA for proper function. DHA is also essential to support pre- and postnatal brain development, as significant levels are present in neuronal synapses. Vitamin D helps to support bone growth in children and maintain bone health in adults. Recent research indicates that 600 IU of vitamin D per day helps maximize bone health in adolescents and adults.*

Suggested Use

Adults and Children (4 years and older): Take 1 teaspoon daily with a meal or as recommended by your health professional.
Children (1 – 3 years): Take ½ teaspoon daily with a meal or as recommended by your health professional.

Accidental overdose of liquid vitamin D products can lead to serious adverse side effects in infants. This product is not intended for infants.
The recommended daily dose of vitamin D for infants is 10 mcg (400 IU). This product delivers 7.5 mcg (300 IU) of vitamin D per teaspoon and 3.75 mcg (150 IU) per ½ teaspoon. Use only if the safety seal is intact. Refrigerate after opening. Like extra virgin olive oil, Cod Liver Oil Forte may occasionally become cloudy in cold conditions. This is perfectly normal and in no way affects the quality of the oil. Keep out of the reach of children.
