Pregnenolone 25 is an endogenous steroid hormone synthesized from cholesterol. As a “parent hormone,” pregnenolone can be converted to other hormones, including sex hormones. For example, pregnenolone can be converted to progesterone, which can then be converted to DHEA, the precursor of androstenedione, the precursor to testosterone and estrone. Pregnenolone is also a neurosteroid. It is found in high concentrations in the brain, where along with other neurosteroids, it impacts synaptic function, is neuroprotective, and supports myelinization.*
Dosages and Warnings
One (1) capsule each day as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional. WARNING: Use only under the direct recommendation and supervision of a physician or qualified healthcare professional. For adult use only. Not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age, pregnant or lactating women, or any person who suffers from a condition such as breast cancer or prostate cancer that might be made worse by exposure to estrogen. Pregnenolone may affect other hormones such as progesterone, estrogen, testosterone, and/or DHEA. Do not take this product if you have a history of seizures. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
